Client Case: How INGKA Amplified Their Vision With Their Suppliers

THE CHALLENGE

Following two years of unprecedented disruption, Ingka Group recognized the need to engage its most valued suppliers in reimagining their collaboration strategies. The goal was to integrate sustainability at the core of their operations, ensuring a resilient and people and planet positive supply chain.

Our Solution

SHFT Happens collaborated with Ingka Group to host the "Ingka Supplier Day 2022." This virtual event brought together key suppliers from accross the world to reflect on past challenges, redesign collaboration methods, and reignite partnerships on a global scale. During this digital event, Ingka Group shared itsstrategy and vision, highlighting new opportunities for suppliers to engage in this journey, contribute to the transformation, and achieve mutual growth.

The Impact

The results were impressive: 84% of attendees identified new opportunities for growth, and there was a clear demand for more virtual engagement. Inspired by this success, Ingka Group is now rethinking its supplier engagement strategy and collaboration program to include more frequent virtual events, both large and small. This approach aims to bring supplier capabilities and innovation closer to Ingka.

Through this initiative, Ingka Group and its suppliers are not just adapting to change but are proactively shaping a smarter, more sustainable future together.

Our role

SHFT Happens designed and executed the first Ingka Supplier Day 2022. We came together with key Ingka suppliers and partners to ignite conversations and co-creation on topics around 4 Themes: Planet Positivity, People Powered, Omnichannel Excellence and Partnering with Impact. Ingka Supplier Day was a half-day virtual event for selected strategic suppliers and partners where we came together to rethink how to make IKEA more affordable, accessible and people and planet positive.

The day was packed with inspiration, learning and co-creation, with great speakers from IKEA painting the IKEA direction, and vision, such as, Deputy CEO and CFO Juvencio Maeztu, Kajsa Gihan, Lucy Slinger, Sara Del Fabbro, and Wim Blaauw. Engaging discussions in the co-creation stages and breakouts. It has been a privilege to work together with the Ingka Procurement!
